Red Racer Super Sonic IPA – Central City Brewing, 6.5% ABV – 330ml., (Surrey, BC, Canada)
on the front-left label:
“Supersonic IPA gets its juice from a proprietary blend of hops. Spicy, citrus notes and an intense aroma defeat gravity itself. And while the hops used were grown on planet Earth, we think this beer is ‘out of this world’. Boom!”

Visual: Pours clear copper brown without any sizable head, very thin ringed retention, no activity.
Nose: toasted toffee/caramel malts, grapefruity hop oils. (lvl-6)-pungency
Attack: crisp bite, grapefruity hop oil coating
Mid-palate: micro-fizzy mouthfeel, (lvl-4)-sweetness mixed with sharp hoppy bitter, (MAIN) toasted toffee malts, pink grapefruit, apricot
Finish: stealth bitter hops, fruity exhale.
Summary: Quite delicious and balanced blend of toasted toffee malt and fruity yet bitter hops. Went down very easy.
