Red Racer Northwest Pale Ale – Central City Brewing, 5% ABV – 330ml., (Surrey, BC, Canada)

on the front-left label:

  • Taste: Rounded creamy grapefruit tangerine barley malt bitter peel hops
  • Do I love this enough to drink it again: no
  • Would I recommend this to beer aficionados: yep, dig the fullness

Visual: Pours clear pale golden orange with a massive dissipating creamy head, sticky lacing, foamy retention, several steady slow streams.

Nose: grapefruity orange citrusy hops. (lvl-6)-pungency

Attack: crisp, incoming bitter

Mid-palate: sustained-creamy mouthfeel, citrus burst, (lvl-3)-sweetness, (MAIN) tangerine, sweet barley malt -> smooth hoppy transition

Finish: pink grapefruit pulp tangy, bitter peel hoppy finish.

Summary: A very nice burst of citrus in a very rounded and creamy textured APA. On the drier side.
