- My Rating: [C], I gave it a (2.6 of 5) on Ratebeer.com
Craft Lager (formerly aka Mystery Lager) – Parallel 49 Brewing, 5.0% ABV – 341ml., (Vancouver, BC, Canada)
on the front-left label:
“Standing tall over Clark Drive you’ll find the light of the iconic East Van cross. Here you’ll find a light, clean lager with a hint of malt and subtle hop flavour standing tall over the others: An iconic East Van beer.”
- Style: Pale Lager
- Taste: grainy bread malt subtle hopped
- Do I love this enough to drink it again: no
- Would I recommend this to beer aficionados: nah
Visual: Pours clear yellow-orange with a very small head, a thin half-layer of retention, several steady spread out streams.
Nose: light fart-malt, a bit of apple (lvl-4)-pungency
Attack: crisp, incoming subdued hops
Mid-palate: almost salty, (lvl-5)-sweetness, (MAIN) straw, grainy barley malt, light bread
Finish: dry barley malt, yeasty, liquid malt finish.
Summary: A decent drinkable lager, nothing special and not something that I would remember a month from now.
