On the back label:

“Simply beautiful. The sweetness is balanced with flavours of ripe apples, apricot and dried fruit. Serve chilled as a dessert or with chocolate fondue.”

  • My Rating: B-
  • Why I like it: has decent flavour and length
  • Where I got it: Swirl @Yaletown
  • How much: $50, April 2012
  • Do I love this enough to drink it again: no
  • Would I recommend this to dessert wine aficionados: no

Tasting notes: pours medium deep golden yellow, thicker than water viscosity. Red apples on the nose. A rush of sweetness (10/10) up front but quickly dissipates into mild warmth, red apples, muscat grape, pear, apricot, and then a medium sticky cloying sweetness. Medium complexity, medium depth, decent transitions, good carry, good sippability. A decent ice wine, but we’re better off as friends than lovers.
