“Beyond the cave of hypnos and up the river of forgetfulness, you will find our original IPA’s big gnarly brother. Craft brewed enlightenment and a profound dose of hoppy citrus awaits.”

  • My Rating: B
  • Why I like it: refreshing burst of citrus with balance
  • Where I got it: BC Liquor Stores
  • How much: $5, June 2012
  • Do I love this enough to drink it again: no
  • Would I recommend this to beer aficionados: yes

Tasting notes: pours crystal clear amber yellow with minimal head, micro CO2, lots of active CO2 streams. Bright tangerine citrus on the nose. Intense fruity tangerine, grapefruit peel, mostly creamy/light fizzy mouthfeel, transitions into red apple, and a deep, intense semi-fresh hoppy bitterness (9/10). Medium complexity, med-high depth, good transitions, good carry, good drinkability. A solid IPA, slightly tiring on the palate.
